Abortion Is Genocide
Abortion is literally a life and death issue. How can we as a society not see that? We sometimes get caught up in the politics of the issue and forget that it involves the destruction of human life. We get so caught up in winning our debate points over an opponent on the other side of the political fence that we forget that we are destroying God’s Children at the rate of about 4,000 a day. If we were losing that many servicemen each day in combat there would be a nationwide outcry of a magnitude never experienced.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. Jeremiah 1-5
I don’t care what the doctor’s say or what the courts will allow you to do, you must make the decision. Take a photo of you, your brothers, your sisters, and your parents. Place them on a table in front of you. Now decide which one you would choose to die. Choosing abortion is choosing to end the life of someone that will be loved, someone that will love, someone that will give something unique to all of us, someone that is a child of God.
THIS IS NOT A WOMEN’S RIGHTS ISSUE
The Equal Rights Amendment, of course – I’m for it!
Equal pay for equal work, of course – I’m for it.
We can fight back and forth on political issues anytime you want, but when you get an abortion it is final. There is no second vote. There is no recall election. There is no court battle because of defective voting machines. That child is dead and there is no way to change that fact. The political climate has everyone convinced that everything decided by the courts is the last word.
Just Because You Have A Right
You Do Not Have To Exercise That Right
The court may grant you the “right to choose”, but making that choice will destroy not only your future but contributes to the continued moral decay of our world. I doubt anyone can honestly say they looked back after 10 years and were glad they chose to destroy their child, even though they could have opted for adoption. If a person can honestly make that type statement, they don’t understand life, they don’t understand love, they don’t understand God.
We see the courts daily award money to families based on the potential earnings of a human being. Yet these same courts refuse to recognize the potential and sanctity of the unborn. The true poverty of this issue is that the courts reflect our society. We have become so focused on our own selfish personal wants and desires that we discard a creation of God into a trash heap as medical waste. All because it would be “inconvenient”.
“Human life is sacred because from its beginning it involves the creative action of God and it remains for ever in a special relationship with the Creator, who is its sole end. God alone is the Lord of life from its beginning until its end: no one can under any circumstance claim for himself the right directly to destroy an innocent human being.“ 2258 – Catechism of the Catholic Church
How can a country that shouts at the top of its lungs when someone wants to take “one nation under God” out of the pledge of allegiance in the same breath ignore the very law of the God that this country was supposedly founded under.
Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person—among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.
