St. John was accustomed to hearing confession for 16 hours a day of people from all over the world. He was a compassionate confessor and spiritual counselor. St. John died in 1859. He is the Patron Saint of Priests.

St. Vincent suffered martyrdom in 300 A.D. for his defense of Christianity. He is the Patron Saint of Vintners and Wine Growers.
Born: 1581 — Died: 1660 — Canonized: 1737 Roman Calendar: Yes — Roman Canon: No — Other: St. Vincent de Paul was born in Gascony in 1581 A.D. He completed his studies and became a parish priest in Paris. St. Vincent founded the “Congregation of the Mission” to help with the formation of priests and provide help to the poor. Also, he founded the “Congregation of the Daughters of Charity” with the help of Saint Louise de Marillac. St. Vincent died in 1660 A.D. He is the Patron Saint of Charitable Societies.
